Terms
The rules for using PermitAlerts. Last updated Oct 25, 2026.
The service
- PermitAlerts collects building Permits from cities' public open-data sources and shows them, with Follow-on work we infer as described on the methodology page.
- Permits are shown as the city publishes them. Cities can be late, incomplete or wrong, and our inferences can be wrong too. Check anything that matters with the city before you rely on it.
- The service is provided as is. We aim to keep it running and up to date but don't promise it always will be.
Your account
- Use your own real name and an email address you control, and keep your sign-in to yourself.
- One person per account.
- Contacts are for reaching out about the work in a Permit. Don't use them to spam, harass, or for anything the law (including do-not-call and anti-spam rules) forbids.
- Don't scrape the site, resell the data, or get around the limits on Reveals or Saved searches. We may close an account that does.
Paying for Pro
- Pro renews each month or year until you cancel, at the price on the pricing page.
- Cancel from your account at any time; Pro runs until the end of the period you paid for.
- Email [email protected] within 7 days of paying for a full refund.
- If prices change, we email Pro customers before the change reaches their next renewal.
Changes and contact
How we handle your data is on the privacy page. If these terms change in a way that matters, we will email account holders first. Questions: [email protected].
